Stephanie S. Palazzo is a Licensed Mental Health Clinician LMHC who has been practicing in the field over 18 years​. She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling, followed by a Certificate of Advanced Graduate studies in Counseling at Rhode Island College. She has been a Licensed Mental Health Clinician in Rhode Island since 2013.
Sometimes we may lose our way on the winding road life sets forth. She holds faith that every individual can embrace their ability to change, grow & recover. Perhaps it may not be easy to admit we might benefit from the support of another to help us regain strength. Someone to listen, provide feedback, validation, insight & education can help to regain control & improve lives. We simply may be seeking another to listen to where we are at in our lives, without judgment, biases & preconceived notions. Utilizing an eclectic approach, Stephanie is person-centered, incorporating evidenced-based practices such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational interviewing, Supportive and Solution-focused therapy.
Stephanie is the owner and founder of Healing in Motion Counseling, LLC in an effort to develop a practice that provides traditional in office psychotherapy services, while also offering the option for therapy outside of the office setting. Traditional in office therapy is the focus, and both traditional as well as extended services can be accommodated.
Should you have an interest to expand and explore your toolbox of coping skills, she is equipped to offer sessions incorporating movement such as exercise, exposure, mindfulness, walking, running, art, writing and other expressive healing therapies. What better way to engage in therapy than to have someone in your corner to listen, provide skills and also extend a hand while saying, “Let’s go Heal in Motion…” ?!
Although the ability to achieve connectedness with someone outside your personal network may be difficult, the growth of a therapeutic, trusting alliance between therapist and patient is unique and may be the healing bridge you’ve searched to cross. Stephanie is aware of these hesitations and feels honored to join in your journey. She will work towards emphasizing sensitivity towards the effort & courage taken to seek treatment and will work to develop a relationship recognizing the strengths, resiliency & uniqueness of each individual.
